HRC National Dinner & Black Tie Dinner Dallas Are Almost Here!

Jaime Duggan & Chris Linsdey | September 30, 2013

It’s time to break out the ball gowns and get those tuxes pressed! The two big dinners of the year – HRC’s National Dinner and Black Tie Dinner Dallas are right around the corner!

The sold-out HRC National Dinner will be held on Saturday, October 25 in Washington DC. If you aren’t already going, it’s likely too late to get a ticket. However, you will be well represented. DFW has several tables and always shows our presence very prominently.  For those of you joining us or going to the Board Meeting, we look forward to seeing you there. In addition to the dinner, the entire HRC Board of Directors and Board of Governors will be meeting to further the agenda on the national scene for HRC.

A few weeks later, on Saturday, November 15, we will all get dressed up again for Black Tie Dinner Dallas.  As always, it is one of the largest dinners celebrating LGBT equality in the nation and will be held at the largest hotel complex in Texas, the Sheraton in downtown Dallas.  There will be the silent auction, pre-parties, after parties, an exciting program and, of course, the live auction during the dinner.  We hope to see you there!

As you know, DFW HRC does not put on the Black Tie Dinner, however we work closely with their board and help to make it successful.  The Human Rights Campaign is the only national beneficiary of the dinner.  Black Tie Dinner and DFW HRC have a long and wonderful history, and, this year, we will have 9 Federal Club Tables. And that’s in addition to the many Federal Club members who will host their own tables and even some who will sit with their companies as corporate sponsors.

For more details, check out In case you aren’t aware, while HRC provides volunteers for events throughout the year, many of our volunteers also work during the weeks and days that lead up to the dinner to help set up.  If you would like to help, feel free to contact Scott Lindsey, who is the Federal Club liaison to the Black Tie Dinner Board.

We hope to see you at both dinners — we will be there - we hope you will too!
