Come to the Mixer, have a refreshment and help folks in need at the same time

August 12, 2014 by Jaime Duggan & Chris Lindsey, 2014 Federal Club Co-Chairs

Please bring non-perishable food items to help restock the Resource Center Food Pantry

Once again, it’s Mixer Time! The August Mixer is this Friday, August 15 at The Local Oak in Oak Cliff. We are looking forward to seeing you and all of our Federal Club friends.

For this Mixer, we have a special request. We are asking you to help refill the Resource Center Food Pantry shelves by bringing one (or more!) non-perishable food items to donate to the Food Pantry.

The Food Pantry gets a lot of donations around the holidays, but things can run a little low in August. Your donations of non-perishable food items can make a big difference in the lives of so many people in our community.

The Food Pantry was founded back in 1985 out of a cardboard box at the corner of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton. It has come a long way since then and, today, the pantry serves more than 800 people living with HIV each week, providing fresh produce, canned goods, frozen foods and perishables.

So come to the Mixer for some fun, and bring some food to donate. It’s going to be a great time and a great way to help the community!

See you on Friday!
