Dallas/Fort Worth Federal Club

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. HRC members at the Federal Club level provide the financial support, leadership and stewardship necessary for the HRC to fight for equality at the national, state and local level. Founded in 1987, the Dallas/Fort Worth Federal Club remains the largest and most financially supportive Federal Club in the nation with over 800 men and women.

WE ARE DEFENDING THE ACT OF MARRIAGE. Surprisingly, in June the Obama administration submitted a brief defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). President Obama Expands Benefits to Same-Sex Couples

Today, President Obama signed an executive order extending some benefits to the same-sex partners of federal workers. The memorandum includes the ability for federal employees to add their domestic partners to long-term care insurance programs; as well as requirements allowing federal employees to use their sick leave to care for domestic partners and non-biological, non-adopted children.
